  First Recorded "Conscious Class" Talk in the Kingdom Hall

  the governing body is not all powerful and all present ,we are not totally powerless .use your talks to promote christian freedom and tear down their propaganda .use material from publications that promote christian freedom and scriptures that they willingly avoid .use your talks to awake your brothers .

  the following talk uses non of the usual watchtower propaganda and uses scriptures the governing body chooses to avoid .. whether you are an elder ,a ministerial servant ,or just a publisher use your items and your talks at the meeting to awake your brothers and sisters .this talk was given few days ago at the thursday meeting ,based on proverbs 3:5.sorry for the accent ,english is not my mother language.. talk at the kingdom hall.

  YEARBOOK 2013 :Letter from the Governing Body

  Dear brothers and sisters :Our Heavenly Father,Jehovah, is the personification of love.Hence the Bible states :"God is love".(1 John 4:8) Even though Jehovah is Almighty ,His Word never says ,"God is power" or , "God is might".He bases his rule primarily on love.How this attracts us to him!

  Happily, Jehovah does not force us to serve him. He is not a dictator. He wants us to serve him out of love from the heart.When we do this , we show that we want his rulership because we believe that the way he rules is right and loving.This has been evident from the beginning of human history.

  Rather than compel Adam and Eve to obey him,Jehovah gave him the opportunity to make their own choice. If they had really loved Jehovah and appreciated what he had done for them ,they would have resisted Satan's efforts to cause them to rebel .

  Later on ,Moses said in his parting speech to the nation of Israel:" See, I do put before you today life and good,and death and bad".(Deut.30:15)The people had the freedom to decide how they wanted to live.Similarly,Joshua said to the Israelites:" If it is bad in your eyes to serve Jehovah,choose for yourselves today whom you will serve." In reply , the people answered Joshua:"It is unthinkable,on our part, to leave Jehovah".(Josh.24:15,16)That is how we feel today as well.Because we love Jehovah, it is "unthinkable" for us to leave him.

  Within the Christian congragation, we clearly understand the matter of free will. While elders are authorised to counsel and even discipline, they do not seek to dominate or to control the life or faith of others. The apostle Paul wrote :"Not that we are the masters over your faith ,but we are fellow workers for your joy,for it is by your faith you are standing ".-2 Cor. 1:24.

  How satisfying it is to do something because we want to do it instead of being forced to do it ! Jehovah invites us to do what is good out of love.The importance of that is seen in Paul's inspired words:"If I give all my belongings to feed others, and if I hand over my body, that I my boast, but do not have love,I'm not profited at all".1 Cor. 13:3.

  What joy it brings to Jehovah- what praise- to see millions of our brothers and sisters serving him because they love him with all their heart!

  Jehovah in turn ,dearly loves all his servants, including all you children and teenagers who show that you love Jehovah rather than the world and the self-gratification it offers.Be assured ,too, that we love you dearly.-Luke 12:42.43.

  Out of love for Jehovah ,last year you brothers ,sisters,and young people spent 1,748,697,447 hours proclaiming the good news. Prompted by love,7,782,346 shared in the field ministry worldwide.We rejoice in the fact that 268,777 new ones, among them many young ones, sumbolized their dedication to Jehovah through water baptism .This means that 5,168 were baptized on average every weekend.How this touches our heart!

  In this time of the end.God's people have to cope with many problems,chalenges,persecution,sickness,and some have to contend with old age.But we are determined never to "shrink back" or to "give up".We love you all very much.-Heb.10:39;2 Cor.4:16.

  "There will be blood" - I DO BELIEVE there will be an up rise very soon

  i was moved from the post of another user on this topic.like the film "there will be blood" that deals with passive aggression in religion i do now think that there will be an inevitable uprise against the lunatics of the governing body .too many of us wake up in a rate that has never been seen before because of the internet .what do you think ?

  what shape will this uprise take ?.

  Last assembly I couldn't help but notice how many attendants were guarding the passage to the ones getting baptised ,even my wife turned around and said ,"why do they need so much security ?" for people who are just getting baptised .I'm mad as hell and I'm in ,I'm sure others are too .It will blow one way or the other .No other religion is going so far to prove that they have the truth and ask their members to read the Bible daily in full knowledge that they are full of bulls**t. What really gets me is how they don't even recognise any issues pretending that all is business as usual .I'm taking it to the next level I don't care about their judicial comittees ,even if I get disfellowshiped I will sit there in the front seat every week oblivious of their little rules and conditions. The truth is not something that you have to lie about .All my life I was brought up to believe this I won't let 9 Pharisees in New York to take away that from me .

  Movie: "There will be Blood"

  a lot of what i have to say with regard to the only religion that i really know, which is the wt org, centers around passive aggression.

  i know that as soon as i use that phrase many people just get the blank deer in the headlights expression on their face, but of all the various psychological phenomena contained within this context, this is without a doubt the largest.

  obviously cognitive dissonance and others are mentioned.. it dawned on me earlier, the movie which is cited in the topic, basically the entire premise of this movie is religion using passive aggression to really skull#$%$ people, while holding the line that they are just doing god's will (in a very personal setting here).

  my apologies if this topic has been suggested before.. two scriptures which have always niggled me for one reason or another - .

  (revelation 17:5-6) and upon her forehead was written a name, a mystery: "babylon the great, the mother of the harlots and of the disgusting things of the earth.

  " and i saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the holy ones and with the blood of the witnesses of jesus.. (revelation 18:4) and i heard another voice out of heaven say: "get out of her, my people, if you do not want to share with her in her sins, and if you do not want to receive part of her plagues.. who really is babylon the great?.

  Why did you pick the name you have now

  just wondering if your name describes what you saw, how you were treated when you were "in" or now "out", maybe your personality, ect.... i'm label licker and the why i picked this name was because of all the licking up one side of elders and down the other to either be an elder or ministerial servant.

  one time i was standing right in front of this brother who wasn't made an ms yet and he totally ignored me and talked right over my head speaking really loud trying to catch the co's attention.. got sick of watching the poor elderly sitting all alone or standing against the wall like a wall flower with noone to talk to and yet all these label lickers would take turns picking up the elders elderly parents and take them shopping and do their groceries at least four times a week while out in service, yet, there was noone there to take a meal to a sister who just got out of the hospital with a heart attack.

  when i had shown up at her apartment with a meal she asked if i could wash her private and change her bandages.

  i am interested in the answers for a new poll.

  also, feel free to suggest other options, wording etc.agreed in full with the watchtower guidelinesagreed with shunning in general, but not for familywas stumbled by this practice but shunned as instructeddid not agree with the practice and secretly associated with disfellowshipped people .

  for me personally, i did not agree with the practice and secretly associated with disfellowshipped people, even whilst at bethel.
